December 29: Move into the new apartment. check

January 3: Dentist and internet installed in the apartment. Fiber optics ftw! Tooth polish ftl. check

January 4: Jury duty.

January 8: General "how our system works" training at Maginnis for four hours.

January 19: Tax season kick-off meeting with updates on current tax legislation. Four hours on a Saturday.

January 7-31: Run around collecting signatures from my faculty advisor, my internship supervisor, the internship coordinator, the department chair of arts and sciences, and the dean of arts and sciences in order to get course credit for my internship.

February 6: I start processing tax returns.

So lets see... why do I rock so much? My first interview with Maginnis & Carey went so well I got a second. I got to go shopping for a second work outfit because I only brought one up to Portland with me. Second interview/lunch went equally well, and was concluded with an internship offer! Woot!

I like the office itself, and the people are met are pretty cool as well. I won't actually start work until early February. Hurrah for making moneys!

Concluded my awesome day of interviewing, lunching, and internship-receiving by going out with boyfriend to look at apartments. We found one, and with any luck we will be approved and receiving keys by the end of next week.
